My good friends at Maketto asked me to host an event in their community space. How could I turn them down? These are the kind of events I dream about. Maketto 1351 is part coffeeshop, part Taiwanese-Cambodian restaurant/bar/community space that brings people together with weekly events, and I’m honored to help them do that.
You’re invited. All proceeds support a local non-profit. Hot coffee on tap, some dad jokes, and a guaranteed good time. If you can’t make it, no biggie, hop on the mailing list and I’ll send you the slides after.
Maketto 1351 H St NE, Washington DC | Thursday, February 4th 4-6pm
Friends don’t let friends drink Starbucks. My favorite thing to do when visiting a new city is check out the local coffeeshop gems and chat up the regulars. Which lead me to meet NYC local @fliickman (shot here at Happy Bones NYC), who gave me his top 5 spots in New York.
@happybones | @lacolombe | @tobysbrooklyn | @thirdrailcoffee | @sweatshop
All great places to drink coffee with the NY locals, people watch, and soak in the vibes of the city. If you’re a coffee purist, Matt Perger dropped a pretty shady but accurate list of “good” coffeeshops in NYC.
@fliickman is a freelance photographer based in NYC. Catch him in the streets, or shoot him a message if you’d like to work with him.
